David’s dance background has been in Hip Hop and he currently trains at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance. David has been dancing with Travel Art since 2007, nurturing & fine tuning his passion for the art of improvisation. With the company, David has performed in numerous live improvisation works including the company’s 2007 residency at Loop project space and bar, and the “Any Requests?” performance series as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2009. David also dances with Flare Dance Company, where he is able to further expand into other dance disciplines including jazz & contemporary. An avid actor, David has had several lead roles in staged theatre productions, including Our Man In Beijing (The Australasian Theatre Company, 2011) and Zhang Da Li and the Village of Big Eaters (La Mama, 2008), as well as TV & Film credits including Offspring & Neighbours (2011), Balibo (2009) and Elise McCredie’s Strange Fits of Passion (ABC, Arena, Film Victoria, 1999), which was selected for the Cannes International Film Festival. David is currently being represented by the Phoenix Artist Management agency.
