liz bryant
(dancer)
Liz’s passion for dance, choreography and performing began by instinct in the family lounge room as a young child. She was enrolled in dance classes at the age of four and began training predominantly in classical ballet as well as character, jazz and contemporary. She auditioned and was accepted into the VCASS dance school, has completed all RAD grades and major exams up to Advanced 2, and won classical awards competing in the Kathleen Gorham and Victorian Grades Awards just to name a few.
Her focus in the last few years has turned to contemporary, and more recently creative and improvised dance thanks to Travel Art Dance Company. She has performed and choreographed for the group since early 2007 and finds the challenge of spontaneous improvised dance terrifying and liberating all at the same time! Liz loves performing character roles and breaking down the traditional boundaries between dancer and audience.
Liz continues to train in classical and lyrical contemporary with Christine Barratt and is also currently a member of ‘Moving Words Dance Project’. When she is not dancing, Liz is a registered Architect, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours from The University of Melbourne.
